Spyder, as today is the day b4 a holiday and trading should be light; have you considered reducing the DUV, FRV requirement?

While reduced volume in the overall market remains a distinct possibility the day before a United States Holiday. Trading within a specific equity may not see reduced activity. One only need to look at FORD or JMDT today to see two examples. As a result, I do not reduce Dry Up Volume Thresholds the day before a Holiday. However, if you review the Monday After Thanksgiving last year, you'll see the effect on volume resulting from the Friday After Thanksgiving Market half day. Expect to see an increased number of stocks in Dry Up on Monday which adds to the possibility of false signal generation.

Spydie, after reading these two posts... I learn to appreciate your thread. Thanks again. (What the hell are they talking about?)

Jack has a unique writing style. He attempts to motivate the reader to dig deeper into the subject matter in order to understand the topic at hand. After speaking with Jack, I have the distinct impression he sets the bar very high in terms of effort required to comprehend his strategies. As a result, he has insured only those willing to exert significant effort receive the rewards. However, Jack's writing style has a hidden benefit. Each time I read his writings, I discover something new I missed during my last review.

Bought VDSI @ 11.95 5% trailing stop.

I'm right there with you. Unfortunately, the market hasn't continued to move price higher yet on this trade. I plan to remain patient.

I do recall that post on the Monday after Thanksgiving from my reading and in part that triggered my question re. today being slow. I think on Monday, I'll be in the "cheap seats" just watching the market and not trading the JH stocks.

You mentioned FORD and JMDT's action today. I did not have them on my list of stocks in DU; did you or they on another list you are watching?

My list for today included: BOOM KNDL NFLX NGPS VDSI. I took the VDSI trade as it passed the lower band of DUV.

Again, thanks for answering our questions.
