I have used many many real time services. All have pros and cons. I haven't actually used TC2000 r/t but have watched someone else using it. IMHO, Qcharts is very little different in price but has far greater capabilities and is truly designed for heavy duty multi chart screen setups. I do not believe TC2000 is.

I like QCharts. Some prefer Tradestation, Wealth-Lab or Amibroker. I began using Quotetracker - as have many other traders. I think you need to test several platforms out and find what best fits your needs. Make sure, whichever software you choose, that it has the ability to draw trendlines on multiple fractals, as well as, allow for 'white space' to the right of the price bars.

I use MBT for my broker. Their combination of low commissions, lightening fast executions and superior costumer service provides a fantastic trading environment.

I use QuoteTracker (QT) and Interactive brokers. I tried out TC2000, it does not allow you to have 'white space' to the right of the price bars (or atleast I could not figure out how to do it).

Only thing with QT is I cannot get the trendlines from the daily into intraday charts, while QCharts lets you do that. I have never tried QCharts.

It is important to have the right tools, I remember seeing a post by Jack recently where he mentioned someone from the IBD Tucson meetup cut her nightly research time from a couple of hours to 30mins by using the correct tools.

I just started trying eSignal. It's about the same price as QCharts with many similar features, but it also allows you to save the tick data and replay it. This has been a huge eye-opener for me when trying to review stocks/futures and to learn to draw channels in real time. I've been going through the last couple weeks of data of the ES, NQ, ER2 and YM and spending hours going through these and trying to compare my annotations with Spydertrader's.

I can only say that I'm finding it much, much harder than the summaries might imply. It's as much an art as a science. To that end, the ability to run through a half-dozen futures at varying speeds after the trading day could be a big help.
 
just a quick note to throw out some results i have been able to attain through my studies of the Hershey Equities methodology.

I have been studying this method for 1 year and trading it seriously for 6 months.

I have been able to add 50% to my trading account in the last quarter. I'm sure there are many using these methods whose return far exceeds the results I have been able to achieve, as I know there have been many trades I have exited early to protect profits and just plain missed.

financial efficiency. what significence does the ''white space''
beside the bars have? are the tools needed for trading the ES
the same as those needed for stock trading? how many trades
are usually generated per day trading ES? thanks again for sharing information. Restan

The white space to the right of the current price allows you to see the projection of the channels lines into the future and also see the price projection into the future

Yes the same charting tools and concepts apply to any security

how many trades are usually generated per day trading ES?
It depends on one's expertise level, a beginner might just trade rockets while an expert is always in the market and trades every FTT

thanks Syper and everyone lese for the great journal. I've recently joined, gone through the 1st journal and 300pages of this one. I must have missed it, but what does FTT mean. Is there a current DU list?
