This present drop in the dollar is a rocket. As I said - I know a guy that successfully trades fx and uses the 8 hour time frame. In his monthly cycle he has approx 73 bars - almost identical to the number of 5 minute bars in a 390 minute session. Use the one hour as a proxy for volume (see November '06 attached chart). Only one settup last month - the rocket, would have got you in long at 1.2600 on the euro (presently 1.3300) - but virtually every Jack Hershey technique is applicable using this settup. Best part is you can trade it checking the screen 3 times a day for 5 minutes (7pm ET, 3am and 11am) when the 480 minute bar closes.

Thanks for posting the application and the set up.

Attached, please find today's ES Chart. Overall, the market didn't make it easy, but it was a good day to practice 'wash trades' over and over again. :D Best trade opportunity of the day occurred right at the open.

Hi Spyder,
Thank you for the charts. Do you also annotate the YM chart at the same time as the ES chart? If so, can you post a screen shot of the YM chart once so I can compare the YM and ES motivation that triggers the trades.

Thanks again and good trading tomorrow.

I recently started to annotate the YM only in terms of the larger trends in an effort to pinpoint the FTT signals more closely at their exact turning point. I'm still learning to continually update the YM (often, I simply forget :D ). As a result, I do not annotate the YM anywhere near the detail of the ES. If you still feel posting the chart would help, I'll be glad to do so.

This link gets you to the verify screen/button to check if your Java is up to date, only takes a minute: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp

The latest update is here: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_ie.jsp

Coincidentally, I just went through this last week.

Regards,
EZ

thanks for the help.

I am pursung all the suggestions.

I just can't get up to date on the java so far.

I got the version on my screen but it timed out before it got to me from Sun.

getting it on the screen as an icon was progress.

Is anyone still using the Hershey Trader software graciously supplied by QX04790 and discussed in Journal II during August? I am attempting to link Excel to QCharts with QLink and believe from the commentary this may be helpful to use or as a technique to build upon. The link 4share link is no longer active.

Many thanx.

Would anyone care to comment on my watch list, i.e. correct or not?

WatchList for today 07 Dec 2006

DTLK
NVEC
SIRF
SMSI

According to ClearStation.com, NVEC has a float of 4.5 million which is below the cutoff, however, due to the fact that each site may have a different number, I decided to leave it.

BITS was on the list, but daily volume is too low, i.e. 120,000.

I also had XING, I've been updating my final universe once a week but will supersede my list with any final universe Spyder posts (as he did just above).
