I use the volume alerts, but I changed the default setting for "trigger if crossed" to OFF.
I had some reliability problems as well and this seemed to fix it.

Well, it seams EZPW was a false break out.
Volume does not increase a lot and price is starting to come down.
Do you normally sell stocks you buy on LBDV if they don't reach AVDU by 11:30 or do you wait till EOD?
I mean, if it looks pretty much as if EZPW for example would not make it to FRV today, would it be more rewarding out of your experience to sell it immediately or wait till EOD in the hope that volume will pick up in the afternoon and will therefore drive at least the price up a bit and sell then

8888broc posted some interesting results a few months back showing how selling if volume does not exceed Average Dry Up Volume by 11:30 AM improves profits.

Yes I can remember that post.
That's why I asked again, to see if anyone else has made similar experiences.
In my opinion it makes sense to sell if AVDU by 11:30 has not been reached as this is one of the fundamentals on which the strategy is based on.
So when volume starts to drop off again and it does not look to good, I think it it's better to sell instead of risking further drops in price.
But I will investigate this topic futher and see if I can come up with the same findigs.

As an addendum to my post from yesterday; re <<ASPV>> which was held after the close from the day before.
At market open, ASPV really took off . What a nice gift. Christmas in August.
I held on then sold it at $25.85 which was not too far away from the day's high of $26.20
It ran up $1.23. Daily Volume totaled 357,925. Peak Volume was projected as 360,000.
Time to Sell.
I trust some of our fellow Hershey Traders also profited handsomely.
