Can someone point me to a posting where the idea behind the second derivative is somehow explained?
I did a search already, but could not find any detailed explaination.
I just found dougc's posting about how he calculates it, but I would like to understand the principle behind it and how one is supposed to use it.

Any information is greatly appreciated.
 
Today MGPI and TXCO gave examples of one of those "targets of opportunity" I spoke of yesterday. Way bigger volume than average and big price improvement.

They weren't technically in dry-up so I wasn't watching them. Big mistake. I'm going to start watching the final universe every day instead of just my dry-up FU stocks.

I read that thing a while back alread, but I think you have to read it a couple of times to get the deeper meaning.
Anyway, I think I figured out the idea behind the second derivatives, as they are supposed to visualise Jacks principle of price and volume relationship.

Is anyone currently trading using the second derivates or do you mainly use them to support entry or exit for normal hershey trading.

Dougc had a bunch of successfull trades in the begining, but then wrote that he needs to refine his code.
Don't know what the current status is.
 
That attachment was saved as an Excel for some reason. If you right click it and save it to disk, then rename it to have the ".doc" extension, it opens right up in MS Word.

Understanding Jack's statements is subject to interpretation. Don't always assume that common knowledge is the correct choice or is not the correct choice. Here's one tid-bit that is very helpful. Learn and understand logic... and what the representation of language (any language) means. Remember, to get the most out of Jack's contributions, interreptation is very important, imo. It's not easy and is cleverly designed to be that way.

The thing is that english is not my native language, so reading Jacks too long posting is twice as hard :eek:

That I can understand. :(
But get out of it what you can. It's purpose is on a relative basis for those that generally strive to achieve, imo.
