Went long on CYBS this morning. It was in DU and signaled a volume break out, the 30 min stochastics were >75, and MACD was positive. On the daily chart, it opened near support and looked like it was a couple of days out from a Bruno R setup. Not ideal, but the planets were in line so I took the trade.

But volume didn't follow through and 1 hour later, I had gotten stopped out for just over 2% loss and price had dropped below its opening price.

CTRN also signaled from volume, but the planets didn't align, so I didn't take the trade.

Time to do more looking into shorts :)

Don't worry about these things. They happen now and then. CYBS provided a dictionary definition of an FBO today. Of course, the late day rally sucked half the life out of my short positions as well. Welcome to summertime trading.

foible... I could cut an paste your post and it would apply to me today :) Got stopped out on cybs, chalk that up under "acceptable loss" category.

Are you still taking short positions based on the stock being in dry up previous day, exceeding LBDU by 11am Stoch(14,1,3) < 20 and MACD < 0 at time of signal?

Although a stock doesn't need to find itself "In Dry Up" as a requirement, I still use the other criteria listed above.

Wow, quite the morning we're having! Many of the hershey stocks have been little rocket ships, blasting up 4-6% in the first 30 minutes! I'm sitting on the sidelines, kicking myself for not benefiting but not wanting to jump onto such a fast moving train. Hopefully some of us are enjoying this rally.

Just FYI, I have BTUI in dry-up but it releases earnings tomorrow so be careful.

I'm in the same boat. Hard to sit and watch. Only stocks that triggered for me were ANDE and FTEK but after substantial gains had already been made.

First day in a very long time I have seen the entire Final Universe all green.

I am certainly interested, but its no problem for me to do it the way i do it now. I think for me the most time consuming part is manually looking for the dry up volumes, FRV and PV for each symbol thats in dry up. It would be a fantastic if it is possible to see them in some sort of table like rcar1046 made so you dont have to look for each symbol 1 by 1.

Hi Mercury77,

Here is a screenshot of the first version. I plan to implement all functions related to Hershey Equities Method, including
(1) automatically download initial universe from StackTables.com (online);
(2) automatically download EOD and other data from Yahoo.com and other sites (online);
(3) automatically generate hotlist (standalone);
(4) automatically generate dryup list from final universe (standalone);
(5) show Hershey data (standalone);
(6) import / export;
...
