I don't really highlight the block trades, I monitor things pretty casually (day job, lots o distractions)... usually if I see a ticker moving up my list sorted by % Vol, I will open the Intraday chart and check for block trades, if there are a lot, then I will discount that somewhat unless there is follow thru in the next 30 min fractal.

I am extremely cautious right now, the markets are very shaky. Having the day job distractions, I am much more hesitant to enter against the overall market. I monitored the first hour and simply didn't have a good feeling and shut down QT as of 10:30am. I am glad I did, the selloff in the last part of the day was a definate signal that we are not on stable ground.

Need to learn more charting and channel drawing, that way I can go both ways..

thanks for the replies....

Me too regarding improving channel drawing...

Being in Australia, I stay up until US ET 11:30AM, and the market went all quiet after 10:30AM... and IIG was the one that stuck out for me as I was monitoring intently for LBDU.

Am looking forward to monitoring the symbols as they climb up the portfolio list with increasing Vol%...

Will wait a little while before I start looking at shorting candidates...

I also watched this, and I also decided not to take the trade. If I remember the chart correctly, it traded down on heavy volume at the beginning of the day, and then the price rose until 11:00 AM on decreasing volume. Didn't seem sound.
 
Thanks. The market was favorable.

A moderator moved my thread from Journals immediately after I opened it. Probably because of its title. I don't mind.
