Quote from MarkBrown:
the system is far more profitable in spurts than the hourly in smaller time frames. many people trade it on 30 minute. the reason it is at the top of the hour was due to the data and software at the time i developed it back in 87, using ned davis platform and it only had close on the hour data.
i wanted to say i was struggling weather your just another fake username for spydertrader and running me around the bush with questions and picky comments that way off base.
i can tell you have been hitting about 50% with all your assumptions and wonder how the heck did he get this out of that? unless your just trying to disassemble me little by little.
if your for real and want something out of me fine i will give it to you but i would appreciate less negative assumptions and a few more positive assumptions from time to time not that i cant hold up but i dont have time to continually defend my self and tell you what i know also. and im not going to cause i dont have to.

ps can someone tell me here this mods keeps warning me and riding my back about links, she says on my watch no one will ever post a link that has goods or services which aren't an et advertiser - is she for real is this the policy man i see links of crap and i do mean crap posted all the time by people here whats up with this? i cant imagine she is banishing everyone who post a link to something interesting. wow what a great et forum we have now days. no wonder their ad support is dropping off you can see it. i remember when every forum had sponsors now many dont. gee wonder why the trouble in commie land.
the focus should be traders helping traders not mods helping paper traders keep a captive cult following.

Thanks again
Sorry I come off as negative.
I am glad I asked about the top of the hour; I went through thinking about it and it does turn out that there is a reasonwhich I am glad you explained.
The theme of whether or not to be in all of the time is exemplified by the people you work for; by necessity, they have to be in all of the time. Elswhere there is a thread about how day trading is not too good and it began with a historical quote from years ago by PTJ who made a lot of money in his early 30's.
Using reversion is common in the big leagues as I read it. As Chan and others have commented, it is always going to be part of the picture.
The fact that the thread is in chit chat means we all have to go look for posts since they don't show up under a trading forum.
Thanks for the wrap up on your trading approach.
