SPY-Why can't you put in stops?

Does anyone know why some of the ETF's (particularly SPY), don't take stops?

I'd like to get away from the screen when I'm in these, but my system doesn't have a stop option for some of the ETF's (XLE,GLD,SPY, etc).

Thank you in advance for any insight.
 
Using Interactive Brokers I just entered a stop order for 100 SPY @ 130.20 and then quickly cancelled it.

What broker are you using?
 
It must be specific to Goldman.

I use Goldman's REDI.

I'll give them a call.
