SPY and other stuff

the one biggest lesson learned in trading 20+ years >40 million worth of order flow last year alone, is trade outliers, exceptionally wide ranges, at pivots or breakouts, vs all the choppy af charts. i lack discipline to be selective like that, i overtrade bc i love this stuff, but fwiw thats a key lesson learned : o

and, clean wide multipoint range orb charts like OXY vs choppy under $10 pos stuff :D

A momentum swing trader and portfolio investor? Usually that is a solid money machine, but in the current state of economies.. start practicing trading if you want the big gains. Good job so far. Don't mean to be rude.

I didn't see anything rude about this.

TY

I never ever beat myself up for taking a profit. :-}.
As my thoughts evolve, i am starting to think that while its very important to go into a trade knowing your risk as well as your risk/reward ratio, its also equally important to maintain flexibility when its called for

You cannot account for every possibility, that is the reality of it. That is where exceptions, come in. Once, in a while, an outlier trade occurs where you have the option of taking windfall profits. Take it when it is there. It does not happen too often that you have to make the most of that trade when it occurs.
