I heard the same thing and end up looking at news to see if there is anything. Now after reading this thread, seems there still is no obvious reason. My guess is that one possibility could be with earnings come out after close. Someone(s) with info did not play like it whoulda and that cause the short period unequalibrium.
 
hey wan. I think someone walked into the pit with a monster order and just freaked the whole place out.

who knows. maybe Soros is back.
