The equivalent trade to making this kind of call on the SPX and laying your fate on it would be to bet your entire account on a single trade. Nobody can expect to be 100% correct every time. Trading, or making forum calls, in such a way as to require it to remain in existence is not wise. Whatever system you use to make your calls should be backtested and Monte-Carlo simulated to give you a good idea of your probability of ruin. Adjust your amount at risk based on that and your likely worst drawdown. Most importantly, never make a bet, or place a trade, that can bankrupt you.
