Spread The Wealth For Idiots - Defined

Quote from Gord:

Well if you could just name "ONE good thing" it certainly would be a tipping point...

Iceman is well noted for listing many good things about people he doesn't agree with. Just look at all the nice things he's said about me. :D

Yes I have experienced his compliments as well...

I seriously think Iceman has some type of rage disorder. Every time he addresses someone who disagrees with him he tells them they have mental disorders, to leave the country or to just go fuck themselves. The dude is emotionally chaotic and erratic.

Really? I hadn't noticed anything different about him - seems like a typical liberal to me...

You sound like a pompous, arrogant UN-appreciative bloke who has little HUMILITY for others at this point in your life! Meaning, unless their story is like yours you don't respect them as worthy or as a human being of your status or of any entitlement in this world! Think about THAT concept Mr. Self-Righteous... and know thyself for what thy has become!

I'm not going to waste bytes regurgitating your diatribe.

I have no need to print this out. Unlike you I do not wish misgivings upon anyone. I hope that every person is able to get out of life what they want. It would be great if there were no setbacks and challenges along the way but that is not being realistic. Everyone does reach the level they choose, not everyone reaches the level they want.

It is interesting how many misconceptions you have about people in general. You label me as a hard core Republican, imply that money is my God, say I have no humility and look down on others who have not achieved as I have, state that I have no problems with government bailouts for banks and business, tell me I hate my next door neighbor, talk about the bible and being directly tied to God, insist that I discriminate against others for not looking and being like me, tell me I succeeded due to LUCK, refer to my hatred toward all others, and call me brother.

Just to correct your misguided perceptions on people lets take a look at your labels compared to reality.

Hardcore Republican: Not even close. More like a hardcore independent who is fiscally conservative and a socially liberal.

Money as my God: Do I place value on Money, most definitely. Money is only a tool to achieve an objective. I place my family and experiencing life ahead of money. Without either of those money is meaningless. However without money neither of those is possible.

Humility: If you knew me you would know that yes I am a confident person. Why should I be ashamed of that. I do not look down on others and have spent a reasonable amount of time and resources helping out various charitable organizations and individuals. However, I will not help someone who does not first want to help themselves. To do so is futile. If a person is happy where they are at then that is great. If they are not then it their responsibility to pull themselves up, not mine. I will help if they need and want it. I am not my brothers keeper. I do have a brother and a sister and I am not their keeper and they are not mine. My brother is a man who takes care if his business and my sister is a woman who takes care of hers. The moment you are dependent on another person or your government for your daily bread, you are no longer a free man.

Government bailouts: Fuck em. They are total bullshit and I would never vote for one. All these bailouts do is allow the cess pool to continue growing.

My neighbors: Most of them are good friends. There are of course those who have your mentality who annoy the hell out of me but I tolerate them, not hate them.

God and the bible: Not so much. I have no love for organized religion or their interpretation of Gods word. More misery has been brought to this world by political leaders selling mass religion to the public than anything else. I do believe in a God who is the creator but despise how man has used God to cause such conflict and misery throughout the world. Just a side note, our founding fathers specifically called for separation of Church and state to keep religion out of politics and in the home, where it belongs.

Discrimination: Yeah whatever. I have close friends of all types. Diversity is the spice of life and without it this world would be a boring place.

I succeeded due to luck: For you to say that you must not have sacrificed and worked for anything. By that token, others have failed because of luck. If that's the case I might as well quite right now because I have such good luck I can sit on my ass and still be called a winner. Are you going to contribute to the general fund so that me and my family can maintain the lifestyle we have lucked into?

My hatred toward all others: the only contempt I have for my fellow man is when they do not do for themselves and feel entitled to take from me what I have earned (I'm sorry, lucked) into so they can get what they want without earning/lucking into it.

Calling me brother: You are not my brother. My brother is a real man who takes care of his business and has laid his life on the line so you can have the freedoms you enjoy. You should be thankful that men such as he live and have values similar to mine for he is the reason you have the right to spew your garbage.

Perhaps you should get out occasionally and experience life some. Your views remind me of the folks I know who have never lived beyond the reach of their parents pocketbook. Or maybe you just had a run of bad luck and feel the need to make sure everyone else experiences your bad luck. Either way, I am sure you can get beyond whatever is plaguing you by dropping the entitlement mentality and start providing for yourself.

I hear this a lot and this larger philosophy always intrigues me.

How does everyone reach the level that they choose?

Say a guy with an 85 IQ reaches the level of bottle sorter. Did he choose to get to this level? A guy with cancer who has two agonizing years before he dies at age 35 -- did he choose this?

If some people win the "ovarian lottery" then it goes without saying that some people lose the "ovarian lottery." And thus we, as a society, need to step in and maximize each person's productivity so that they can have a positive economic impact on society.

You can't persuade anyone with an opinion on any issue.

I'm sorry, but in this case your facts are illogical. If you review your chart carefully, you'll see that it doesn't provide the necessary facts to prove your point.

calling anyone in US politics at a Federal level a "radical" or "conservative" is a pretty good joke.

recently i spoke with a friend who is a naturalized US citizen (work>h1b) and asked him about the prospect of voting for the 1st time.

his respose was that it was not worth the time to get voter registration, because the choices were to pay now or pay later.

meaning that republicans would tax less but spend just as much and cause future inflation etc; or the dems would tax more right now.

also, since i just read through all the 20 pages, i'm curious where does everyone think this redistributed money will go?

say i make 100 right now and get taxed 10. then, next year, i get taxed 15 instead so that some "poor" chump can get 4 more food stamps? will he actually spend the money and drive up Cosco's sales and stock price, or will he use to start a fire to burn a US flag?

lastly, if my "savings/aset" rate-ratio was 30 anyway, will this affect my rate of consumption - e.g. will i ejoy less "life" because of this extra setback. which i plan on making back again when my Cosco investment pays off. less the "governament" adminstration/transaction fees?

Of course, the fact that you are not just responding to my post with your thoughts but feel obliged to first print insults, from the safety of your anonymity, against someone you disagree with, but whom you don't know and will never see, speaks volumes... You need help, man, really! :(

Obama's Wealth Redistribution Agenda: Democrats Target Your 401k Retirement Plan with Taxes
by the Republican Majority Campaign

"Dear Fellow American:

The public outcry of real Americans like you and Joe the Plumber is finally getting some light shed on Mr. Obama's wealth redistribution agenda supported by Socialist Democrats in Congress. The corrupt media can't hide it any longer. The plan is to bring an end to the America we know and love; to bring an end to freedom and liberty.

They want total control of what you see, hear, think, and do. They will stop at nothing. NOW, they are aiming at your 401k retirement plan and they are going for the kill.

Yes that's right, Liberals in government want to seize these assets for their own. Just look at what James Pethokoukis, the money and politics blogger for U.S. News & World Report has said,

In place of 401(k) plans, she would have workers transfer their dough into government-created "guaranteed retirement accounts" for every worker. The government would deposit $600 (inflation indexed) every year into the GRAs. Each worker would also have to save 5 percent of pay into the accounts, to which the government would pay a measly 3 percent return. Rep. Jim McDermott, a Democrat from Washington and chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee's Subcommittee on Income Security and Family Support, said that since "the savings rate isn't going up for the investment of $80 billion [in 401(k) tax breaks], we have to start to think about whether or not we want to continue to invest that $80 billion for a policy that's not generating what we now say it should."

Straight from the jackasses mouth, the Democratic plan is to SIEZE your 401k and take $80 billion that is currently the property of American citizens. Effectively, this plan will end all of the incentives that the majority of Americans not only enjoy but rely on. I am sure you or someone you know takes advantage of their employer matching their 401k contribution. Under the iron fist of the Democratic empire your employer would no longer receive a tax benefit for matching your contribution, so they won't do it. And you will lose half of your retirement contributions. And don't forget, that you will lose your tax breaks from the 401k plan also, so you'd be paying the government to let you retire. Sounds like fun?
...
Obama has always been against an individuals' right to control and spend their own savings. He has a narrow, selfish and myopic view of the world we live in and the idea that he can tax whatever he wants to whenever he wants to."
