Did you study the fundamentals of the stock? Do you see the red bar on the day when it gapped down? What is the high of that bar?

No I do not study fundamentals they always seem to cloud my judgement.

The high of that red bar was around 17.6 and may provide some resistance (normal gap fill area), the recent breakout of the 16.5 area was touched and rejected 3 times in the past.
