neuroscience, spirituality, psychology, praying, being nice to others, going to church, god, donating to the poor, meditating, etc. none of those will help you trade more profitably. it can help you manufacture a meaning for your life but it will absolutely not produce more profits.

neuroscience, spirituality, psychology, praying, being nice to others, going to church, god, donating to the poor, meditating, etc. ALL of those will help you trade more profitably. it can help you manufacture a meaning for your life AND it will absolutely produce more profits.

How does it look ? :D
 
More seriously, imagine a situation where you are trading, the door knock.
You open it, and someone tells you , for INSTANCE, your brother just died. This is an example of a high stress situation.
You are in shock, right?
You go on automatic and start trading.
How likely is your mental state going to influence your trading decision making?

What affected your trading ? your EMOTIONS. and certainly your thoughts.
Now, on a normal day, one generates between 60,000 and 70,000 thoughts with their associated emotions.
What if one of these thoughts put you in a state similar to the hypothetical situation above?

this guy is pure genius, he almost always chooses the absolute right, perfect words to explain some topic. and he is often funny as hell
