Absolutely...back in the 80's and 90's the mantra was "farm it (work( out to a subcontractor. Which then turned into "Outsourcing" which was mostly late 2000 to preent. In the modern age "APP it away" may be the case. A vast majority of human tasks will be completed by a cyber entity..Work from home really sealed the deal for vast majority of non-physical labor to transferred to AI/GAI.
The domestic labor force has little interest in backbreaking non ergonomic work. Who else will complete the undesirable, low paying work... non-domestic laborers.
With the media fully on board at this point, it's hard to imagine the US ever electing a Republican president again. If that sounds crazy, look at what they've done with Harris in the last month - she goes from a blathering idiot to the second coming in two weeks...but it's all perception and they only need to get to the finish line.
If they pull this off in November, they will move to make DC a 51st state (ensuring two more permanent Dem Senate seats), pack the court with their folks and a host of other moves to further entrench themselves. They're already using bad progressive policy (handing out free cash to erase loans and create effective UBI for their base) followed by even worse liberal policies to "fix" the problem they made (price controls).
If you're rich you'll be fine. The poor are going the way of those in Venezuela. Mexico is going to need to close the border to keep our poor from fleeing in ten years.

maybe the republicans were smart. They know they can’t govern and the democrats can: while trump is hurling insults Biden is getting hostages free.
