Sadly, with the exception of people who possess special skills (software engineers, nurses, professional athletes, etc), there is virtually no legal immigration to the USA. Less than 3 percent of the people who apply will be granted an immigration visa, and even then it takes years. The waiting list for those from Mexico is 224 years. From the Philippines 64 years. From all other countries an average of 45 years.

Immigration, both legal and illegal (and yes they shouldn't enter illegally) is a net positive - no matter what nonsense "the world's largest mosquito" bite sufferer says.
