The abstract thinkers deserve a "get out of jail" card then? I must switch minds to abstract thinking when I write in French, because I cannot spell well. In truth I think bad spellers are just intellectually lazy slobs who can't be bothered to learn to do any better. They probably don't count their change, either.

Some people, like Einstein suffered dyslexia in his childhood, probably had hell of time in spelling, are far from "intellectually" lazy; smooth talking/writing sales person are good at swindling, nothing else.

To me the laziness translates into a form of rudeness in a way, because it makes the reader work harder. Otherwise I wouldn't really care, just like I don't really care if someone dresses like a slob if that's how they wish to present themselves.

Good point......similar to someone who mumbles out of laziness, but the listener has to work hard to comprehend. Poor writing and speaking (when the person can do better) is inconsiderate and under certain circumstances, dangerous. Stosh

Proper usage?: "Fellow ET literates, let's collaberate poor spelling on ET."
