Alas, my prediction on this trade did not come true

So, when Thursday's RTH session opened bidless and pretty much fell from the opening I didn't see any reason to go long.

Ditto. When the market is acting bearishly, which it currently is, it's generally not worth the risk of going long. Exception if you're nimble enough to play for a "counter-bounce"... aka, bear market rally.

And how did that one work out? Will you even admit that you took a loss, or are you going to come back and claim some magical exit in profit? We KNOW your stop was hit. We KNOW it. WE SEE IT ON OUR CHARTS! Will you admit a loss? Will you be one of the few people in this site that proves they have a loss?
