Sometimes one reads something so nutty, so devoid of logic, so off the wall that it takes one's breath way.; leaves one speechless. Let me take a moment to gather my composure. There now, I've gathered it.

And once the folks at the National Archives found out he had them, why didn't he come clean and just return them instead of just returning some of them and then denying he had anymore. Had he returned them all when asked he'd be looking at a lot less time in the pokey then he is now.
Ok let me gather together my composure and reveal why he STOLE all those top secrets and REFUSED to come clean. That's not even the worst of it, Trump's 16 years old son also stole some of the stolen secrets and also refused to come clean. That's why they checked his room too.
The reason is because, instead of a gold gilded room, him and Melania were planning on a room wallpapered in top secrets in a collage motif. That's where papers overlap rather randomly. But it's ok because the plan was to overlap the actual secret parts of the papers. They were going to call it the Redacted Room.
Unfortunately they couldn't get clearance with NARA by the time to leave office so Malania started stuffing her undergarments and was making an unusual number of trips to Mara Lago, in the weeks since January 6. That's when this all came to the attention of the FBI. Suspicious trips. Turns out Melania was hiding top secrets underneath her Victoria's Secrets, so the Secret Service could not find them. One of the secret service tipped off the FBI when Melania grabbed the steering wheel one day and demanded to be driven to Mara Lago. It seemed suspicious.
Melania was just leaving them on the floor of the future Redacted Room, arranging the collage. That's when Barron, the 16 yo son started stealing about 10% of the most top secrets to wallpaper the inside of his closet, making his own secret Classified Closet.
That's why they had to search his room, and also Melania's closet for any leftover secrets. I know what your thinking. But it had
nothing to do with Melania's Victoria's Secrets!! You creep!
So yah, they lied. But it's ok for Presidents to lie, especially Biden and Obama. Presidents lie all the time. But the Donald only lied to NARA, not to the American people. Still waiting for Biden to come clean about his dealings with his son Hunter and his dealings with foreign countries.
The rule is the police can lie to you, but you can't lie to the police. It's like that with Presidents. The President can lie to the FBI anytime, or even all the time, whereas the FBI can only lie to the American people pretty much all of the time. They can't comment on active ongoing lies too. That does NOT mean we can just lie to the FBI. Only the President can do that.
