I agree with you that a "Space Force" is inevitable. However a proper definition of the roles, expectations, and responsibilities of a new branch of the military must be defined before a proposal for creating it is pushed forward.

Right now the U.S. military is totally out of sync with this proposal being pushed by the Trump administration.

This makes the "Space Force" look like a laughable proposal which is nothing more than a logo contest being run by the Trump administration.

BTW -- choose a logo from the proposed amateurish designs.

No, your post is laughable because you're still missing the point entirely, even after reading what I wrote the first time. So I'll assume zero knowledge on your part.

SOCOM had to be FORCED on the services, as did Goldwater-Nichols because of inter-service rivalries and tendencies of each service to operate as independent fiefdoms. Both SOCOM and Goldwater-Nichols resulted in huge improvements. Read up on them.

And oh BTW, Mattis supports this. The only reason he did not at first was because he was too sympathetic to the self-serving positions of the Air Force Secretary and Chief of Staff to keep it all in the Air Force.
