Enjoy your tax cuts
Apparently the Russians a while back developed a handgun for use in space and trained some of their Cosmonauts in storming a spacecraft.
It seems more efficient to train Air Force pilots for the roles like the one mentioned above as many U.S. Astronauts come from the Air Force.
Still, whatever millitary spacecraft and other space borne infrastructure we may put up there can be taken out with a bucket of sand. Travelling at orbital speeds, sand will destroy everything in its path, cover a wide area, and remain a long term hazard. A country like North Korea can easily accomplish this.
The most optimal approach is for the space capable countries to cooperate and develop space based infrastructure to support industrial scale specialized manufacturing and a launching platform for deep space missions.

I'm sure you've heard about Area 51. If we had this space force early enough in America's history, it wouldn't be overrun with aliens like it is today.

Seven stars is clearly appropiate: One for each branch of service plus one for commander in chief.
How could be have been so limited not so see his real goal is galactic fleet admiral. Bone Spurs? Trump don't need feet in space.
Don't forget about the first space based resort. Weightless sex would be interesting and I would imagine the rooms closest to the center of the resort would be the most expensive, as artificial(centrifugal) gravity would be weakest there.
"TRS, post: 4674886, member: 12576"]LOL as regards the Trump Rump propulsion system.
The more sobering points as to Space Force and Space Wars are just lost on a one dimensional being like Trump. He'll be watching FOX, expecting plaudits recognizing his visionary and futuristic leadership.

Actually, it is apparently possible to combine separate laser beams into one beam using a diamond.

I, for one, look forward to warp speed and transporters.
We have a ways to go. We need to develop the ability to extract resources from asteroids, moons, and planets. We need to have the capability to be able to build structures, energy sources, including rocket rocket fuel. One nation will not be able to do this successfully on its own due to cost, personnel, and resource requirements.

Really the guy is an idiot to do this. He probably wants to carve is face on the moon as Mt Rushmore is occupied.
Why not just just "erase" the portraits on Mount Rushmore and start over? Actually, Mount Rushmore is probably not big enough for him. We need to think big. The moon would be ok, but it is so far. Maybe Trump would be ok with a yuge factory or resort in low Earth orbit made in his image.
