Southern California to secede

Those 12 counties represent about 1/3rd of the population of CA or a little more than 13 million people. I hope they dont think they are going to walk away from their share of Californias debt.

When I first moved to Orange County (Southern California) in the early 1990s, somebody made this same secession proposal. Everyone around here cheered -- until they learned we get 75% of our water from Northern California. End of story.

It would be great for San Diego, Orange Cty but it will never happen.
