The issue is that the FBI initiated a FISA warrant request upon an investigation wholely carried out by Trump's political opponent. And then- apparently- got the FISA court to gobble it up by conveniently failing to flat out mention where it came from, other than in oblique terms that someone else did the investigation. If this is the case then it is a flagrant violation of FBI rules and regulations that required departmental corroboration and a fraud upon the court has been committed.

The Justice Department cannot tidy that up by going around proving or not proving that the allegations were true or not true after the fact. As I said earlier, you cannot fraudulently obtain a warrant either by misrepresentation or material ommissions and use that to then get some evidence that proves that you could have had that evidence if you had not relied on the political opponents obviously biased investigation.

Ah but what your overlooking is Cohen. He has , all on his own, made his being there or not the issue! He did that when he denied being there! Had he not denied, the issue would be what was he doing there. But if he was there, lied about it, and went to pains to cover it up, that's prima facie evidence he was there for clandestine reasons. Now the balls in his court to prove he wasn't there to facilitate collusion of the Trump campaign with Russian Hackers. He and il Duce are in deep doo doo.

Legal points are not exactly your strong point, eh?

If the evidence from the dossier ends out being suppressed due to procedural errors or fraudulent process then the DOJ would have to demonstrate that they already had access or knowledge of his Prague trip without relying on dossier/steele info. Otherwise it is not admissable one way or the other.

I will leave it there. It is somewhat outside your area of knowledge- your painful legal dissertations after doing google searchs notwithstanding.

sure. if il Duce gets indicted on Dossier dependent matters, that's relevant. It won't be compelling, however, on the January 2019 Senate during the impeachment trial.:D

As an American citizen it bothers me not just a little to even broach this subject. But if what is being hinted at in the press should be proven true, i.e. Cohen was in Prague to broker an attempt by Russian Hackers to throw the election to Trump, and possibly even provide funding for the effort, then we are looking at a modern cyber version of treason. That would be no laughing matter for il Duce and Cohen, or the country for that matter. Were it not for Cohen seemingly being perhaps the most incompetent lawyer in the country and Trump's mental affliction, I'd think no way this could be true. But given those two individuals, I fear it is at least a possibility. Let's hope nothing of the sort took place, and it was an entirely Russian operation in conception and funding.

So let's get this straight....

A source (leaker) from Mueller's office claims there is evidence that Cohen was in Prague in 2016. However sources in the U.S. State Department previously stated that there is no evidence relative to his passport that Cohen visited Prague.

So which is it?

I think that so far "unnamed sources" have established that someone with the last name Cohen was in Prague at that time or had a cousin who was in Prague a year earlier.
