Last week I upgraded from WIN NT to 2K Pro. All went well but now I can hear my cursor move across the screen. It is faint but distinct. Also any moving graphic makes noise. It's a low rumble. Very subtle but annoying. Ideas?

Did you look in "Sounds and Multimedia" under control panel? Also, did you upgrade your soundcard driver to the latest W2K driver?
 
affirmative on both those issues. I thought the new drivers might make it quiet but no luck. I'm going to reinstall the NT drivers and see if that helps.

A driver problem and non-PnP devices conflict would be the first guesses. Check out Device Manager.

Mute all the inputs, that may help.

If it does not, where the noise is coming from? What kind of mouse you use? motherboard? speakers? any other audio inputs? can you hear it in Safe Mode?
 
no conflicts apparent in device manager. I muted MIDI, LINE IN, an CD Audio balance and that took care of it. Thank you !
