All politicians are hypocrites… they will say you can not do something while they are able to do it.
We all know that and it has been that way since the President George Washington.
I dont follow Rancourt just as I dont follow Kerry or Greta to see climate change in the countries I have lived in.
I know enough to
not be stupid and have a home built on a coast, flood plains, historical tornado routes, near/inside forest areas known for wildfires, and valleys where mudslides can occur.
Yet, people want that sensational view whole knowing insurance companies are reluctant to insure their homes or charge outrageous rates for living there…in an area susceptible to climate change.
The above is just a small piece of the problem involving climate change that I can avoid.
I am more worried about pieces of the puzzle I can not avoid…like traveling in regions of the U.S. last summer to visit universities with my teenagers when parts of the U.S. was setting record temperatures…same areas expected to be a little hot this summer when I will be traveling again to the same areas this summer in 2024…
Same areas that exceeded weather related deaths above the norm in comparison to prior years.
Another problem…many northern cities in the United States get a large portion of their bottle water supply from Canada…more so last year during the record breaking heat wave.
Water in those cities double or triple in prices. Many stores put limits on the amount of water you can buy.
I remember one grocery store had a sign…3 bottles of water per client. Now imagine what could happen to poor people in the United States that needed water if Canada dries up just a little if/when it has similar record breaking heat waves ???
Canada has stated they will put limits on its export of water to the United States.
Then again…maybe the record breaking heat waves last year and the weather related deaths were all lies and had nothing to do with climate. It was more about government mismanaging the U.S. water supply.
Consider this, the U.S. has +100 million of agriculture acres that need to be properly irrigated to grow food…the recent high prices for food was problematic for many Americans especially the poor. Part of that problem (high inflation) was because we could not control the unusual rising costs associated with irrigation of our agriculture acres.
Reminder, as climate changes worsen…drought conditions will move further north to Canada…Canada will break trade agreements with the United States about fresh water supply.
Below link are maps and info about the routes Canada uses to get water to the United States.

On top of the above, Canada had record breaking wildfires that the smoke and ash drifted downward to the states causing breathing problems from the smoke pollution.
All fake to anti-climate change folks and conspiracy theorists that think its created as a false flag.

I got a good whiff of that smoke from Canada will visiting relatives in
South Dakota. My cousin had to wear face masks because of that smoke pollution… she has asthma and needed to protect herself.
As I stated. I open my eyes to what I see with my own two eyes…seeing my cousin struggle to breath outside without a face mask until she put a face mask on after breathing in the smoky ash in South Dakota that came from Canada record breaking wildfires.
