Sorry, another Covid thread :-)

I want to make a general comment that applies to the vast majority of us who a) don't rely on Fox News, Donald Trump, inforwars, or social media for our information; b) are well educated, read widely and gain our information from a wide range of sources we deem reasonably reliable.

We needn't concern ourselves with natural Covid immunity or Ivermectin, and we know when it makes sense to wear a facemask. We accept the CDC data that shows the m-RNA vaccines are the most efficacious and safest vaccines ever developed. We get our two doses of vaccine and a booster. We'll get yet another dose if the CDC recommends it. If we do get Covid, we know that it will be a mild case, and we will quickly recover. We go on with our lives, knowing, now that we are fully vaccinated, the probability of our dying from a Covid infection is roughly equivalent to dying from a lightening strike.

I agree, there are, they are called idiots. Covid made the world smarter, got rid off a bunch of them.

Don't worry...most Parents do not need to vaccinate their children and there's no mandate for such in North America. Simply, it's just another option for Parents. Further, most states/provinces still require the normal child vaccinations to enter the public school system...polio, smallpox, meningitis vaccine et cetera.
  • Like the Flu vaccine...the Covid vaccine will never make that mandatory child vaccine list to enter the public school system.
Yet, there is a small percentage of Parents that are considering the vaccination of their children because the child is disabled or has already serious health conditions from other diseases.

The old behavior science still applies...the best way to protect your kids is for Parents themself to get vaccinated or all the adults in the household to get vaccinated so that the children are surrounded by vaccinated adults...reducing the risk of exposure to Covid for the children.

The above has worked very well since the early 1900s.

Update: There are a few polls out now that say about 18% - 20% of parents plan to have their children vaccinated with the Covid vaccine.

I suspect a majority of those kids are immuno-compromise and/or living with a parent that's immuno-compromise.
