its really strange how he ( soros ) made his largest single killing by fighting against british bank intervention in the Pound and winning. He told his critics who considered him a parasite that the markets should be free to seek their own levels and he was just going along with that. Now that he is even more filthy rich and retired, he is preaching that the market is wrong and that governments and central banks MUST manipulate the markets.

Either he is feeling guilty about how he got rich, or he doesn't want anyone else to get rich the same way he did, or he is just getting senile. This is similar to how Ted Turner flipped around and became anti-american and liberal AFTER he became a billionaire. All the way up to the top he was a dog-eat-dog free market capitalist.

Dot, you have described one of the telltale characteristics of a true leftist. It explains why the marxist, socialist, left has SO bloody much money at its disposal. Another reason is that it will steal from the productive by force or fraud.

The British Government leaned hard upon the brokerage firm that had taken some 4billion pound futures short against the British Pound. Now what's unusual is that they were able to find out which local executed the futures hedge, and who its customer was, and whom the brokerage was, and then who the trader calling the shots were. It turned out to be G. Soros.

He bet big against the Pound, and skyrocketed himself from no where into the front lines. That's how he made the bulk of his hundreds of millions of dollars.

Seems he's trying to do it yet again against the US Dollar, and also shape/influence US policy.

Reason to be cautious and fully discount his words in this article?

Anybody who is taking Soros seriously, did you read his stand on the death taxes in U.S.? I mean how much more hypocritical he can be? That's the guy who structured his business in the way to avoid paying taxes.I don't believe anything he spits out of his mouth.
