"Predatory lending". How come we don't call all those infomercials "predatory advertising"? How about all those Google ads? How about used car salesmen? In a sense, even Ben & Jerry's is "predatory", when some fat f*&k walks in and orders a bucket.

Secret Teacher: teaching is increasingly being built on a web of lies
Stop pretending our education system is about the students, it's all about manipulating data for survival, says The Secret

I could have written much of that article. It describes well what has happened to our once good public schools.

What's odd is that recognizing the problem and its causes hasn't moved us one bit toward a solution. We just stay on the same road even after we realize were headed in the wrong direction!

impossible for it to be a million dollars. its like house prices going up 20 percent forever. unsustainable

I agree.

Markets are self-correcting even if it may take a while for the correction to occur. But I am afraid that many got caught in the price run-up and may be paying for it for a long time.

Education changes too, and with all the new technologies on the market or about to enter it, the price of good education is bound to go down.
