Something is wrong with Stockcharts

Stockcharts should show UUP traded at 30.50 in November 2023, yet the current chart shows UUP off by 2 points. this is not the first time. this has happened on number of occasions in the past. someone at stockcharts has messed around with their website.

1) UUP is no longer pay dividend (ended in Dec 2022). it paid peanut (24c only).
2) in my experience, small dividend payout has no major impact on stock price (the end of the day price). the stock price may be deducted by the dividend amount at open, but during the day, traders bid it up and down... so the end of the day, it'd go along with the general market trend except those stocks that pay big dividend (>$1), but then these stocks also tend to go with the market's trend.

Your information is incorrect.

The latest dividend for UUP is 1.745530 with ex-dividend date 2023-12-18 and payment date 2023-12-22.

I think your experience doesn't work with respect to ETFs - they are quite different to stocks. ETFs are typically obliged to pay accrued underlying dividends less their management fees.
