What do you mean? With the web-trader you can login from anywhere, you only need the username/password.

It has nothing to do with a secure PC.

Or can you disable the webtrader for a specific account?
 
Can someone else monitor your keystrokes in your immediate wireless vicinity even if you are using your own laptop/pdas/hp through special keylogger technology?
 
Does all these firewall/antivirus stuff protect you when
you use your laptop in a wireless environment and all
the crook who is sitting nearby needs is to trace your key strokes
just for the password (He will then log into your account another
time without even the need the hack into it)?
 
WLAN must be encrypted. Otherwise anyone can 'read'.

However, a few WLAN encryption standards have been cracked.

I advise anyone not to use wireless
for the real $$$ as it is very difficult to maintain security for a less experienced user.

This whole security thing really starts to turn into a nightmare at all ends, esp. with these ultra-modern rootkits & the new pump+dump scheme.

There is no difference in terms of wireless hacking. In terms of viruses and trojan horses, you may be right because not many people target mac users.

there aint no history neither a single precedent in mac hackin', and yeah, nor viruses also have ever been able to attack macs so far.
 
Anyone knows why TWS in Linux or Mac doesn't offer an SSL option at the login window?
The SSL option appears only in Windows.....
Is it on by default in Linux or Mac, or what??
 
Guys, here is the list of what you can do to help improve the security of your computer:

Go to Administrative Tools ->Services->
disable the following:
- Remote Registry
- Routing and Remote Access
- Networking Remote Desktop Sharing
- Remote Access; shutdown anything you can find having to do with remote access.

Go to Administrative Tools ->Local Security Tools ->
- Remove all remote access for desktop session helps or any kinds of network administrative access or network user access. Which means that you need shut down any thing that can access your computer from outside sources.
