i thought gordon wasnt going to post or even visit this site anymore? why not try futures or forex?

i don't even trade stocks anymore but this s*** still PISSES ME OFF.
i'm not complaining about futures. i would still trade futures even if there wasn't PDT. i'm complaining about PDT even though it doesn't affect me because it's a f***** up concept. it isn't right, it shouldn't exist in america, and it should be done away with. and after they get rid of it, they should fire the SEC morons that OKed it and send them to jail for a bit to send the message that this sh!t will not be tolerated in america!!!!! (i know i'm being a little crazy...it's probably not even possible to send SEC people to jail for this; i wish it was.)Quote from rawman74:
as long as youre getting to trade SOMETHING and pay the bills doing it, then who cares what it is that you trade?

harry, i didn't realize that you were involved with the correspondence between IB the SEC and the NYSE. the guidance and thus interpretation of the rules in regards to IB's implementation of the rules comes from these discussions.
Now lets assume there is flexibility and you run a major international brokerage. Do you take the chance and have flexible rules or do you implement them as suggested by your regulators?
