Some questions from newcomer

Quote from Don Bright:

My friends at Echo have closed, no rumor.

And, we too have an excellent training program(s). Check with Rob Friesen for more info: robfriesen@brighttrading.net

Hello, Don

It's my pleasure to get some input from knowledgeable and experienced trader as You are. I started this conversation, just to understand what do I have to study and know before I am going to enter to the prop trading area. I am not sure that I going to buy any kind of training program at this moment.
Is Rob Friesen kind of friendly person would be glad to communicate and has time for it?

And Don, I would like to understand what is the execution prices at bright trading, is Rob Friesen the address for this kind of questions?

You should contact the firm and make sure your registration will be accepted by their SRO. Each has different naturalization/residency requirements for registration

Can you please elaborate a little bit more about SRO exam acceptance?
I just thought that Series 7 exam administrated by FINRA and good for any FINRA registered company, and exam Series 56 good for CBOE/CBSX registered firms.

We can confirm that the TOTAL cost to register at this time to take the Series 56 is $343. The Series 56 is $195, CRD fee is $100, background check is $30, and fingerprints are $18.

Registration fees can be found here on FINRA's website:

http://www.finra.org/Industry/Compliance/Registration/CRD/FilingGuidance/P005237

And exam fees can be found here on FINRA's website:

http://www.finra.org/Industry/Compliance/Registration/QualificationsExams/Qualifications/p011096

There are no other fees. Furthermore, we supply some study material and also regularly hold live Series 56 review classes.

Please feel free to call us at 248.406.3250 or email at info@jctradinggroup.com to discuss.

I don't know where you're getting that information but it is old. JC traders are registered with WTS (whom I trade with). The registration fees are now $600-700 without the book which is another $150-$200. On top of that, if you fail, it is over $200 to retake the exam. It costs double for the series 7. The registration and exam fees for both are also set to increase in March 2014.

There are other costs associated such as fingerprinting fees, etc. the $300 figure is probably a low ball to try and appear cheaper than others.

I agree with Don. If you have the 25k deposit, his firm is your most reputable and longest-running firm around.

I talked to them not long ago, they upped it now to 50k min contribution. I told him I just graduated too.

my firm bought me the S7 book and paid for everything else

Good for you -) What kind of firm was it – bank, hedge fond or prop?

What did you graduated? As for me 50k as minimum contribution - sounds kind of crazy, unless you are experienced trader.

Call Rob Friesen anyway, we have several programs that not only help you with your trading, but may allow you to come in with less capital. Rob: 604.539.8700

Good Luck
