Some observations on scalping Crude

Well I'm usually more conservative with my stops, I would normally put my stop @ 67.10...but i find it too tight. So for this week I'm risking a little bit more money. If you don't mind Old Trader, what is your play for the CL ???

I'd be a buyer of weakness, provided it sets up right. I don't have a weekly trade like you do. I don't trade like that...I'm much more reactive to what the market does.

About the only thing I'm not will to do at this time is short the market. That isn't to say it won't work, or that it may not prove to be a smart trade. But the least we can say is that the trend is up, and that therefore shorting the market is a counter trend play.

Does anyone here trade crude future spreads ?

I started recently taking a long position in the 3-4 and 4-5 months which were pretty tight.

I am trying to find out more about what's behind the behaviour of the front month spread vs. the back months.
