Some numbers on Russian losses.

The Stalingrad battle was one of the worst during WWII. Russians had 500K dead out of the total of about 3M troops in 120 days. That's about 140 KIA/day for every 100,000 troops.

In Ukraine so far the most conservative Western estimates are around 8,000 Russian dead (Ukrainian estimates are 14,000 so let's take Western ones). 20 days. 200,000 (less, but let's round up) troops. That means Russians are losing about 200 KIA/day per 100,000 troops. Conservatively.

More than in the bloodiest battle in WWII.
 
My sis is working in a beauty saloon. Doing nails. Women stuff. Today their team, accepted new girl, 24 y.o, a refuge from Ukraine.

My mom was there as well, as a client & nobody spoke in Russian (other 5 women, younger millennials) , thus, mom translated.

Long story short, Russian soldiers raped 3 girls ( 10 yrs old ~) and their mothers, then shot them dead right there. Somewhere in her city.
That's what she said in tears.

No punch-line, just sharing first hand experiences.

And as a coincidence, met my friend and his brother today in the city, after one year (both Russians)
