Sold my first Iron Condor

I believe one of the major shareholders of OX is also a part owner of Optionetics.com (the website, not the course).
Obviously they would prefer you to have a subscription to Optionetics' Platinum analysis service.

If I could do backtesting with TOS, I would be out of Platinum in a jiffy.

Backtesting should be added some time in the not too distant future, or so I hear.

Geez... I gotta get out of OX.
That kind of info isn't available there and it takes me 10 minutes to find an IC I like, even in the SPY's. And then I manually have to input the symbols.

Lookin forward to seeing that screenshot.

Just go to the TOS website and take a look at software screenshots or even demo it.

Borrowing the thread a little, does anyone know how to calculate the yearly historical/statistical volatility?

The method T&S are using.

Hi Eliot...nice trade so far...If you think the market will start to head south you could just buy back the short puts and let the longs run for a bit legging out of the put side. If you think the market may continue to go up you could roll up the put side for more $$. Otherwise I believe the TOS guys would say you shouldn't touch your IC until 4-10 days from expiration.

At the TOS class he said just put on another IC at the current price, don't roll or adjust the existing ones. But it's tempting to think about closing the short, especially if it gets any cheaper.

I think the market will drop a bit, but the market doesn't usually listen to me.
