Solar Stock Depression - what happened??

just to let you know solar panels are gonna be the standard on all new construction homes by 2020 taking the place of the now famous timberline roof shingles. the look just like regular roof shingles. but i have no clue which solar companies are gonna be around next year let alone 10 years from now. any suggestions
 
Most sources of "fossil" energy were very expensive at first, e.g. coal, oil, until an industry of mining and drilling and a distribution infrastructure were established. Eventually, unless the abiotic origin of oil proves correct and can be tapped, renewable resources and nuclear will dominate in the future. If oil and coal are truly finite resources and the supply of both is truly diminishing, there will be no other choice but to develop renewable and safe nuclear sources of energy, or face a regressive future. My guess is that technologies will be developed that can exploit non fossil energy sources in the coming century.

We just got an emailed quote this morning from a friend who's been researching this for several of us:

"Solar power -- the best deal I have been able to find. Includes manual tilt racking system. They will take the TEP rebate off the front he said but I don't have it in writing.

Approximate Economics

Cost $13099
2.04 kw TAP rebate ($6000)
State tax $2000
Net 5099
Fed 30% rebate ($1529.7)

Net 3569.3

Nets you about $350 a year savings at current rates. No batteries. Power not used is sold back to the grid."

So not $20,000 after all :cool:

JASO's trading below $4 a share. They have a quick ratio of 23 and a P/E of 5! A "hedge fund liquidation ridiculous price alert" is going off in my head.

WTF is wrong with JASO?
