From what I've seen it looks like it just has the indicators we use programmed but not an automated system - except for trendline or formation TL automation. I heard they still have some more work to do.
So basically your paying for not having to code this stuff yourself, and having it all on one program. Can't really see people starting out using it at that cost, but later on it might be worth it.
No one has mentioned if $200 includes datafeeds.
BTW, are you still using AmiBroker? Does it do all the Hershey indicators, ES as well as stocks?

I think the primary point is being missed here.We saw the debut of Peak Trader Pro at the Expo and while they are on the right track, I'm afraid too many people are thinking that a software package is going to teach them the Jack Hershey Method. This ain't gonna happen! It's not about software, it's about seeing how the market unfolds in a sequence that repeats itself over and over. Virtually any capable charting program is sufficient to trade the Hershey method. Having a package that is geared specifically towards the JHM is nice, but again, it's not about software.
That's my two cents.

I would have to agree with WGTrader. Software is not going to make one see the market any better. I can see how someone like Spyder may benefit from having some of it automated, but I have to wonder if someone at my current skill level might gain more by doing the annotations manually to aid in the process of getting this stuff in sports memory.
I expect more information soon from an inquiry about the software. For now I can share the following.
"monthly software fee will be between $100-250. Commissions for trading are $4.50 per trade all in, which includes all fees. Datafeed is realtime, direct and we give you a Quote board with realtime data for all markets. "
I have no idea if one will be able to use it for equities also or if it is limited to the setup we have seen screenshots of.

Surprised you recall Amibroker! I've moved on to QuoteTracker for charting - trading FX through MBTrading.
FX doesn't have volume, pro rata volume or applicable DOM. So the process is more price/channel heavy then SCT for ES. On the flip side, FX is more 'trendy' (many 4 point trends and volatility expansions). ES, from the looks of it, trades mean reverting - plenty of 1-2-3 channels that FTT and turn the other way.
Same idea, just a different flavour. i think any trader could adjust accordingly.

The question then becomes - what level of functionality does Peaktrader intend for its software? I suppose time will tell.
