Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

As far as I know, I followed the above instructions and set QT up exactly the same way, but I'm still getting a 1 min S/S chart that looks like a 1 min YM chart. I've attached a chart from this morning using an offset of 30. Maybe you could take a look and see what's wrong. In the menu, Misc. Options - Portfolio Charts, do you have that checked as $Value?

Yes, $Value is checked. And, "Last Price" is checked in the "Calculate Portfolio Based On" .

Do you have your stretch/squeeze portfolio selected in the Portfolio window of the main window? You should see the "Total" value in the "Last" column of your portfolio (at the bottom of the main window) oscillate around zero (if your offset constant value is about right -- my offset has been running -32 to -35 today). That "Total" value in the "Last" column (at the bottom of the main window) is the value you are charting.

are you guys using the right formula?
the chart you post has max value as +/-40! something is very wrong here.

I understand it's

premium_a = current (YM-INDU)
premium_b = market open (YM-INDU)
SS = premium_a - premium_b

I think I just figured out what's wrong. In QT you have to choose a source for quotes and a source for historic backfill. In my case both are IQ Feed. What I didn't realize is, you also have to choose a source for Indices, which I find kind of odd. You'd think a quote source would cover that. So since my YM quotes are real-time and my INDU quotes are probably delayed, from not having chosen an Index source (suprised they even came in at all) that could be the reason my data is charting such a huge spread and at the same time giving it the shape of a 1 min YM chart.

If anyone that uses Esignal knows,
I am looking for an efs that counts down the time remaining on a bar.
I have searched the forums on efs and had no luck.

Quotetracker already has that feature and it is great.

Problem with QT and esignal at the same time is Esignal times bars on the even , and QT bars are on the odd, so the charts look different by the way the bars are opened and closed.

So I can't use the time remaining from a QT chart for Esignal.

Any advice much appreciated !

Hey guavaman,

Just scroll down to view and select show candle countdown. That will display a small clock with time remaining for that bar.

nkhoi,

That brought me to exactly what I was looking for.
The EFS displays the time remaining for the current bar.

It works awesome !! Thank you nkhoi !

Now I would like to share the efs that you found. I think someone might be interested in it.
I just have no idea how to upload the efs file , so it can be downloaded.

Any help on posting the efs and I will have it up this weekend.
I can copy and post the code, just have no clue how to post an efs, so it can be uploaded in esignal .

This is the code for the time remaining in a bar for esignal.
This is an efs called remainingbartime.efs

I have not figured out how to post the efs so it can be downloaded direct into esig.

Attached is the code if that helps anyone, or search for the efs on forums at esig.
