wouldnt it be helpful to understand who to get angry with? regulators wanted to move a tiny bit in the right direction and the republican congress stopped them:

your ignorance of the facts caused you to blame the side who were fighting against this measure and give a pass to the side wanted it. and it doesnt matter?

the republicans solved the issue just as they wanted to. their masters wanted pizza sauce declared a vegatable and that is just what happened.

Google has nothing to do with Carrier IQ (aside from providing the OS that it and tens of thousands of other pieces of third-party software run on). It's the carriers who put it on the phones. Phones like the Nexus don't have it.
