Speaking of most memorable trades for 2008, I'd have to say mine was when I nailed 23 trades in a row (for a total of $1,400+) trading during the SPM Discussions thread.

We did a lot of good work in that thread, and Trader28 ended up sharing a lot of information also (both in the thread and via PM).

The system I'm trading now is based on some of the ideas that came out of that effort, and I likes what I sees. :)

That's why I want to be done with this. There's absolutely no point in arguing with people who don't even trade (oh Jack ...!) :p when there are so many opportunities right in front of me. :D

I also shared a lot of my own information, but found that to be extremely distracting from my own trading. But hey, at least I got something good out of it and was able to pass it on to a couple of friends/trading folks that I've know these past few years ... it's all good. :) :cool:

Before commenting on the above, I wish to say that "riskfreetrading" was coined after some trading insight that I got while reading the Republic, and going back to find holes in markets. Check the questions that in Republic that touched on justice (compare it to riskfree) vs. lack of it, bankers, etc. When do you need them (bankers/etc)?

Back to your point in the post. How and from who you make money:

1. You make money "from" hedgers by never offering them your services, but rather exploiting them to clear the path for you on the down side. You take their side, and as you are lighter you can get in faster, and even get in and out on their move to the south. Watch a little bird take food from a pigeon who understand your roll.

2. When hedgers do not hedge, you make money but heading north. You need someone to sell to you the contract you hold. That someone is always one of your kind (a speculator) or a sleepy hedger who is sharing some of his profits with you because he was too late or too dumb to take his hedging profits on the way up.

In both cases you make money from your kind: the speculators! How many: at least 90% of them. Find the number of speculators, and you should be able to find the pool. It is limited though.

I spend $20 a month on feeding doves, sparrows, finches, cardinals, bluejays, and mockingbirds. And squirrels, rabbits, and rats (the above are not birds, for you city slickers). There is an algebra of birds. One dumb fucking dove trumps an infinite number of competitors. Five sparrows trump even a bluejay. But everybody scatters for a redtailed hawk. Or my wife's main coon. RFT, you are the man (or woman). You get it! Birdfeeder trading, hahahahahaha!
