Let me give you a hint. You responded to that ad hominem in this way:Quote from Ricter:
Ok, where is the very first ad hominem in this thread, in your opinion?
That's why they "respect" you.Quote from Ricter:
Fair enough.
Quote from AAAintheBeltway:
I somehow missed this drama, so I will not offer any opinions on it. Let me just say, as someone who's been around here a while, that there is way too much name-calling and childish taunting. I've been guilty of it myself at times, but usually after being attacked.
You're not going to change anyone's mind or get their respect by name-calling or insults. Better to ignore than to climb down in the gutter with people who insist on that level of discourse.
The republican primary season is beginning to disappoint me for this identical reason. Romney and Gingrich should be concentrating on Obama's failings and what they would do differently. Instead, they have managed to get themselves tied up in a mud wrestling contest that reflects very poorly on both of them. I am particularly disappointed in Romney. He and his surrogates have distorted Newt's record and taken things out of context. Newt certainly has a lot of baggage and it is fair game to mention it, but it makes Romney look small to harp on it and to be party to distortions of Newt's record.
The "fool" comment does appear to be the first ad hominem. I had thought it might be your "toad" comment, but that came later. He did use a smiley, and his tone seems different, maybe that's why I read it as a "fun" attack.Quote from Brass:

Absolutely. But it has to be on both sides. And "debates" should not be started with goading, inflammatory posts. Wouldn't you agree? Otherwise, the good guys are the only ones not peeing in the pool.Quote from cgroupman:
...but if we can get good discussions and debates without all the name calling, so much the better. IMO.
"Fun" from 666? Really? And when you score a logical point in a new thread, as you usually do, and he calls you "Rectum" again? What then? Just curious.Quote from Ricter:

I dunno, maybe I want to consider (starting today) every new thread a "new day".

Read my earler post to Ricter and learn why.
As for the rest of your hysterical post, I respect those worthy of it. Nothing is free. And I'm respectful until I see someone's stripes, one way or the other. So I even give the benefit of the doubt. But that doubt dissolves quickly, one way or the other. So, yeah, I've got you pegged.
Since all of your friends ("half the Politics section") has me on ignore, why don't you join them. You guys move in packs, don't you?
Well, then, I do believe my work with you is done. Splendid.Quote from Max E. Pad:
You dont respect anyone, you pulled a drive by on ME onm my own thread, and i had no clue who you were, and lucrum ended up pointing you out. Now you are trying to take away from the fact that alot of us actually respect Ricter even though we dont agree with him politically......
You actually remind me of RCG Trader, where the disconnect between your picture of yourself, and reality is so fucking big they could write psychology books about you.
Bottom line is i didnt miss you while you were gone, and all you have done since you have been back is confirm the fact that you are a complete ass hole, and a psychopath, and you obviously know very little about economics, trading, or anything for that matter.
CONGRATULATIONS, ON A SITE FULL OF MISFITS YOU ARE THE FIRST PERSON WHO IS SO REPULSIVE I AM ACTUALLY PUTTING YOU ON IGNORE.
ON IGNORE!!!!!?!?!!!!!!
Well, like I said in the OP...Quote from Brass:
