RS7,
I respectfully disagree with you there. I've put over 300K miles on many GM vehicles in my business, have done a lot of driving with little or no problems. I can say from my experience durability of GM vehicles are unsurpassed. Don't get me wrong, my parents drive a BMW 745iL, awesome car. But they have also had an Audi that by 62,000 miles needed a new motor, transmission and many other problems. Most of those 62,000 miles were logged behind a tow truck.![]()
American pick up trucks are great. So I would assume GM and Ford SUVs should be pretty good too.
I leased a Pontiac for my older son ('97 Grand Am). It was ALWAYS in the shop. Got my younger son a 2001 Honda. No comparison. The Honda runs perfectly all the time.
Audi's.....well I had a 2000 Saab 9-3 convertible. Lots of fun, but I can't rave about the quality of it. Was glad when I returned it (just two weeks ago). But I have had many Japanese cars, and they were all great. My lease also just ran up on a Lexus. Best car I ever owned (not the most fun....just the best overall quality). European cars I guess are somewhere in between Japanese and American as far as quality control. Unless of course you pay very big money. Like your parents 745, or a big Mercedes. I guess I just don't want to think about $2000 brake jobs and thousand dollar tune-ups. Besides, notice this market lately?
Peace,
Rs7
