So figure if my typical return was around 3500 on a 5k investment, that's 70% over 2 days.....

You call that inefficient?

Maybe someone with better computer skills could figure out the odds here, but in my experience, I sat through probably 5000 spins and never got past the $1000 bet level. Maybe I just got lucky, but it worked for me.

when i played blackjack for quite a while id have bet progression (when the count was unfavourable) that worked would work similar to this:

5,5,5,5,10,25,50,100,200,500,1000,2000

it would result in a tiny loss of $10 for a much meatier 2x more deals to breakeven

Oh, I agree totally. Eventually, you'd bust, no doubt about it.

But like you said, in my sample size, I didn't see it.

Anyone have enough math skills to figure out some probabilities?

Ha, and I don't do that anymore - these were back in the college days where if I lost, Top Ramen was fine.... LOL. :D

I too had good success with the Martingale...~6K in 3 months, but the bottom line is it WILL lose and badly. I figured i'd pressed my luck enough and haven't done it since. My max was 1600 for a 100 win, luckily it hit.

I've seen a certain color hit +15 times in a row only 4-5 times in the many many times i've been in a casino, nonetheless the chance for ruin is just too big...but it sure is alot of fun when you're winning:D
