So why did my thread get moved to the politics forum??

After reading your initial post I was originally going to move the thread to Chit Chat because your tax issues had absolutely nothing to do with trading. But then, like newwurldmn mentioned, I saw that many of the replies were political in nature so it was moved to the Politics forum.

I just talked about my CPA, tax savings, gleaning tax loses, and the ACA...How it helped me. Sure looks like taxes to me...

Yes, your post was about taxes, but this is the description of the Taxes and Accounting forum:
"Trader-related tax issues such as mark to market accounting, trader tax status,
performance audits, and other tax compliance challenges."

The key words in that description are the first two: TRADER RELATED.
