Seems like an excuse to me.

Let's say you are clearing $750.000 a year from your trading activities.

Post just a single snapshot of your P/L on the internet and now it becomes super easy for some unscrupulous people to find your identity and use that information for, let's just say, very very selfish purposes...

You dont need an ET account for that.

Broker can do a query to see who's clearing good money and then do whatever it is that you are afraid of.

Whatever risk you see, it exists with or without ET.

Using him as an example, not making assumptions.

I don't think its good trader's practice to claim profitability or positions after the fact in a trader's board without evidence.

A lot of junk in this board would go away if the practice was enforced or applied by those serious about trading.

Again, not attacking the OP in anyway, just using him as an example.

I did make a lot of live calls on ET, check my stats. And I will post some more this week if you like, as soon as I get a Buy/Sell signal from my system.

Sure, the webmaster knows your IP, unless you are using a proxy. And this is true for every website on the Net. But an IP is just an IP, not a proof of anything. But let's go back to the subject please.
