Last full day tomorrow...i think market is open on Monday half day?
Correct me if im wrong but the markets are normally open new years eve if it is working day.

Given that it's Friday tomorrow, those who are taking the holidays off are going to be off tomorrow. That's what I meant.

Otherwise this sudden upswing is very strange...

...

Regardless, I'm a little shocked that CME margin increases has not occurred by now. I thought for sure it would have occurred towards the end of October going into all of the recent headline news (e.g. gov. shutdown). Maybe they need more dramatic volatility or dramatic swings to be convince its time to increase margin requirements ???

Lol, they must have been listening, this came down an hour ago...

NQ is getting too damned expensive for ON holds!

Buying started at the very last hour of 3:00 PM+. Very strange indeed.
Buying started at 2:20 PM Eastern. Of that there is no doubt. It did not start in the last hour after 3 PM. I did erroneously post that it started at 1:20 but that was a fatfinger posting and I wouldn't have caught it except for your posting so thank you for that.

Here's what the NQ looked like on that 90 minute rise on a 30,15 Unirenko-style chart, which is normally used for months-long analysis of technical movements. But this is fricking 2 hours?!? Good GOD man, this is insanity.

A year ago, this would be normal for maybe a 6,3 or 7,2 chart over the course of a day?

But a 30,15 in two hours? Unirenko folks, you know what I'm on about.

simple retest, of the extreme UP move the day before. Markets do this over and over and over again.

I see this pattern all the time, and I was positioned long into it.

I take this trade across 10 markets a month about 3 times per market and make $$$$$$$$

So when people say "why did the market do this today?"

I say "it was a simple retest of yesterdays levels"

It's either doing 3 things, it's taking the market to the level that will cause more shakeout of participants...It's lining the pockets of the brokers, and it is keeping the exchange lights on.

If you have enough skill to determine what price will line the most pockets in the very near term... you can make alot of money. Because GUESS WHAT... that is where the market is going :)
