So what do the Liberals do now that Saddam is captured?

From ARogue-Trader:

The point, his line of thinking is not diverse, but very predictable and very fundamentalist in nature.

I have a distrust of those who are 100% certain they are right, blame the "other side" for all the problems, and have a need to belong to fringe organizations.

People who are predictable, think predictably according to a creed and doctrine.....not based on real time of a particular situation.

How indeed true.
AR, you are the man!

Actually Romeo (sorry but I LOVE that handle) this is one of the few times I've agreed with bung. The one thing I always dug about Saddam was the reality that secular Iraq was the enemy of FAR BIGGER PRICKS. That's why I had mixed feelings about the war. In a perfect world I would have UNLEASHED him on his neighbors. BUT I still think the admin has plans on getting rid of all of the Mid East's usual suspects. Either that or this is the ultimate form of appeasement. Get rid of the most anti fundamentalist leader in the region and hope the fanatics give us our props. That strat didn't work when we supported Islamic Bosnia, doubt it'll work now. However it is curious how quiet the rhetoric from Iran, Syria, etal has become. Hmm..wonder if the clerics aren't a little scared of the trigger happy cowboy from the Lone Star state!

I respect that.

As long as you've got your think hat on tonight, what is wiggle/nolan-vinny-sam spouting about? He's as postal as walter.

BTW, I would have stuck with Romeo, but he got banned. Heck, I would have stuck with Vinny Gigante if I had my choice.

There's a diff between multiple handles (J.S., Romeo, Nolan) and multiple personalities. I think Romeo is consistant no matter who he posts as. Romeo dosen't try to opaque transparency.

Now Pabst/Answer/Mo that's one Sybilesque dude.:D

well said. I have never tried to hide behind a handle. All my handles have been banned, so I'm forced to move to another.

What do you think of wiggle starting this thread as nolan-vinny-sam, and later continuing the same argument as wiggle! And then denying they're the same! Is he as gay as a san fran fruitcake or what?

Banned!! WTF! Romeo was hardly egregious. That'll teach YOU to make a series of GREAT calls.

Wags, As a Mid-Westerner who has been California Dreamin' for forty years, I'll give you the perspective of an outsider. Cal is becoming what NYC was in the 70's. Remember when New York was broke (Ford refused to bail out NYC), crime ridden, and a very out place to live. Back then Cal was King. Now it's flipped. California no longer captivates. In terms of amenities much of the "backwoods" have caught up. Witness a Michael McDonald leaving Santa Barbara, a place as good as it gets, for Nashville. Now stars and athletes who would have lived in L.A. are hangin in the Hampton's, gulp yes MIAMI, or even places like Sea Island Ga. In the last 30 years the standard of living for EVERY strata of global society has risen. However no state in the Union that I can think of as stepped backwards as much as Cal. From Utopia to ordinary.

time to go postal, Pabst is making alot of sense here!!

Romeo was banned after standing up to ET's favorite breathren marketsurfer. In case you missed it, marketsurfer, with all the same arrogance and doublespeak he used on Inandlong, tried to diss me as not being honest about TASR being an available short. I guess he thinks everyone else is an IB trader. Well he was wrong, it is an available short at Goldman, Merrill etc. and when Romeo made his error painfully clear, he was banned, and all evidence of Romeo's correctness was DELETED to protect marketsurfers hurt ego.

Pabst, if any of the above people ever move out of the San Francisco Bay Area I will agree with your argument. Until then, I'm not swayed.

And until then, the only place that I would ever feel compelled to spend any vacation time back East would be Newport, Rhode Island.

The Hamptons?

Yuck!

:)

. Trust me, none of the neighbor nations to Iraq wanted Saddam in power either. They were afraid of what he would do too. He did try to take over a country. That is NEVER OK. Somehow we all lost sight of that. Bush Jr. is picking up where his dad left off. Should have shot Saddam years ago. IMHO.

Is it just me? Is there a strange contradiction buried somewhere in this? Or is Bobcathy NOT defending GWB, but subtly denouncing him?

Peace,
