So "we" trusted the administration with Iraq & WMDs, and "we" should trust them w/Iran violations?

Just so I'm clear; cons ignored the UN and said Iraq had WMDs, which was clearly a lie by Bush et.al. And now the UN says Iran is complying and we're supposed to trust the beacon of honesty that is Trump's admin which says are in violation?

It's as if history repeats itself or something.

The history of the UN accommodating, ignoring, and in some cases outright facilitating mass genocide is, to borrow your phrase, a history that repeats itself.

If you are holding the UN out as some sort of reliable honest arbiter of international justice and a stalwart barricade against weapons proliferation and wars of aggression - it’s been an abject failure.

By now every foreign diplomat from every nation on planet Earth knows NOT to rely upon the UN. Game the UN, corrupt the UN - but never rely upon the UN.

The UN and FIFA are a worthy comparison.
