You can back-test all day, you can look at charts all day... but nothing is like sitting in front of a monitor real time and watch the (lack) of action...

I only started my automated strategy dev in the middle of the madness last fall. I backtested years back, but this is the first time I'm seeing it up close.

It just feels... weird. Where are my +/-5% intraday swings?

Today is absolutely atrocious. Volitility is drying up like we haven't seen in some time. Just have to be patient and pick your spots well. Usually, nice range days follow a really dry up period like this
